Andreas Herrmann
Prof. Andreas Herrmann, born in Munich, Germany, works as a professional musician in diverse fields. He took over the artistic directorship of the Philharmonic Chorus of Munich in 1996 as Choral Director of the Munich Philharmonic. There he directs rehearsals for conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Zubin Mehta, James Levine, Simone Young, Mariss Jansons, Krzysztof Penderecki, Fabio Luisi, Ingo Metzmacher, Daniele Gatti and many others. Within the framework of his occupation as professor at the Munich Academy for Music and Theatre, he has led the academy choir from 1996-2006 with innumerable performances of opera, oratorio and acappella works and gives conducting courses in the fields of choir conducting, composition for film and tv, aural training, school and church music. With numerous choirs, orchestras and ensembles, he has developed a multitude of concert activities beyond his commitment to the Munich Philharmonic. CD productions and radio recordings document the quality and high class of his musical work. His own compositions and sounddesigns cover a wide variety of styles from early music to avantgarde not shying away from popular music.
DJ Jonah
DJ, songwriter, musician, music producer and Radio broadcaster. DJ Jonah has been writing, performing and critiquing music from the age of 12. He studied at the selective school, Newtown School of Performing Arts and graduated from UWS Nepean Bachelor of Music. DJ Jonah has worked with many different artists in a range of styles including hip hop, soul, jazz, reggae, funk, house, breaks, dancehall and rock to name just a few. He has also written, performed and produced music for a number of different media organizations and companies including; SBS Television, SBS Radio, Foxtell’s NITV Channel: The Barefoot League and Target. DJ Jonah also works as a music director for the New York Festival award nominated Alchemy on SBS Radio. Because of this he’s always in touch with current styles and trends for both mainstream and underground music.
